Design model: Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create three-dimensional models or design drawings. This model will become the basis of the custom CNC prototyping program.
CAM programming: Use computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software to convert CAD models into G-code that CNC machines can understand. The G code generated by CAM software contains the motion and cutting path information of the CNC machine tool.
Material preparation: Select appropriate materials, usually plastic, metal or composite materials. Make sure the material is flat, dry, and cut or trimmed according to design requirements.
Security settings: Set up rapid CNC prototyping machine tools, including fixtures, workpiece fixing, tool installation, and calibration of machine tool coordinate systems. Make sure all settings are correct before running the machine.
CNC processing: Launch CNC machine, load the G-code generated by CAM, and start machining. The CNC machine tool will control the movement of the tool according to the G code, cut or engrave the workpiece layer by layer, and operate according to the design requirements.
Inspection and monitoring: During the machining process, operators typically monitor the performance of the machine and regularly check the quality of the workpiece. Make corrections if necessary.
Complete the prototype: Once the processing is completed, our CNC prototype factories' workers will remove the workpiece from the machine tool, check its quality and size, and perform necessary trimming and post-processing work, such as deburring or surface treatment.
Testing and verification: If the prototype is a prototype of a product, we can perform testing and verification to ensure that its functionality and performance that meet the design requirements.
