Polyoxymethylene homopolymer (POM) is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic known for its impact resistance and wear resistance, widely used in various mechanical machining applications. The CNC delrin is favored by engineers due to its excellent material properties and high machinability. Although inherently opaque, CNC POM is available in various colors. It has a density of 1.410-1.420 g/cm3, a crystallinity of 75-85%, and a melting point of 175°C. POM is well-suited for machining processes such as milling and turning. CNC POM is easily deformed during CNC machining because the fuse is too low. Control the CNC delrin processing temperature: The melting point of POM is between 165-175°C, so the temperature should be controlled not to exceed this range during processing to avoid overheating of the material.
